Cookie Policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

This page explains the cookies and browser storage used on badmintonbazaar.shop. We keep it short because the store uses very little: there are no advertising or analytics cookies.

1. What we use

Only the following technologies are used:

Login session cookies (strictly necessary)

  • Name: sb-ymbhwbxiipemkecpbyif-auth-token (our authentication provider may split this across several cookies with the same name plus a numeric suffix such as .0).
  • Purpose: keep you signed in, protect your session, and let the site load your cart, orders, and account.
  • Set by: Supabase (our authentication provider) on our behalf.
  • Duration: up to approximately 13 months, refreshed while you are active.
  • Related short-lived cookies hold a login-flow code verifier during sign-in and password reset; they are removed when the flow completes.

Theme preference (local storage, strictly necessary for your UI choice)

  • Key: theme
  • Purpose: remembers whether you chose light, dark, or system appearance so the site does not flash the wrong theme.
  • Set by: this website (not a third party). Stored in your browser's local storage, not as a cookie.

2. What we do not use

  • No advertising or remarketing cookies or pixels.
  • No web analytics cookies (no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar).
  • No social-media embeds or third-party chat widgets.
  • No third-party fonts or scripts load from external domains; fonts are hosted with the website itself.

3. Why there is no cookie consent banner

A consent banner is required where non-essential technologies (such as analytics or advertising cookies) are used before consent. Because this store uses only strictly necessary authentication and preference storage, there is nothing to accept or reject, and we do not show a banner. If we ever add non-essential tracking, we will update this page and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.

4. Third parties

Our authentication provider (Supabase) sets the login cookies listed above. Product images are served from Supabase Storage. Checkout currently supports Cash on Delivery only, so no payment-provider cookies are set; if online payments are enabled later, the payment provider may set its own strictly necessary cookies during checkout, and we will document them here.

5. Managing cookies and storage

You can delete cookies and local storage using your browser settings. Blocking the login cookie will sign you out and prevent you from using your account, cart, and checkout. You can change the theme at any time using the theme toggle in the header.

6. Changes

We will update this page if our use of cookies or storage changes. The date at the top shows the last update.
